This is a long time coming by now, but when life throws me lemons, I guess I make lazyade. So, my friend, Andrew Mangum is an excellent photographer working out of Baltimore. And, aside from being an excellent photographer, he’s been a pretty big inspiration because he actually has the guts to do things to push his work, to come up with and then carry through ideas to get his stuff out there. Case in point — his new handmade book of 5x7 prints of photos around Baltimore. It’s called The Grit, in case you didn’t click the link (you should), and mine came in like a week ago or so (time is all over the place these days). Hence the ‘long time coming.’ Anyway, it’s awesome, worth every penny, and I suggest anyone with an interest in b/w photography and/or Baltimore show the man some support and snatch up a copy. DO.
